SIFT

Is an operational analysis tool that is used by Satellite Operations at the Defence Network Operations Centre. SIFT software performs interference analysis between ground terminals operating with satellites and fixed terrestrial (microwave) services. The user proposes a ground terminal location and an operating frequency and nominates a satellite then the software extracts terrestrial services operating in the same frequency range within a defined coordination area from a database published by the Australian Communications and Media Authority. A series of interference analyses are performed and the interference to and from the terrestrial services and ground terminal is gauged. SIFT was developed using ESRI Software.

MSCMST

Was developed for DSTO C3I to support JP 2008 Phase 4 system modelling and capacity analysis. The MSCMST is a MILSATCOM Modelling and Simulation tool built to transform information exchange rates and terminal populations into a 4D simulation of typical SATCOM usage by Australian Defence in order to assess satellite and ground requirements for the satellite network. The software was built using Access, Matlab and STK.

ISRDD-UO

Is an ISR concept demonstration tool developed for DSTO ISRD. The ISRDD-UO is an Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Dynamic Display for Urban Operations that supports the planning and potentially live assessment of ISR asset capability in an urban environment. ISRDD-UO is a custom application of STK software.
